We meet weekly on Mondays and Wednesday
Wednesday evenings from 6.00pm till 9.00pm
Pottery is made by shaping clay into various types
of objects and firing them at high temperatures in a kiln which
removes all the water from the clay and which leads to permanent
changes including increasing their strength and hardening and setting
their shape. A clay object can be decorated before or after firing.
Our group consists of lovely friendly people of varying degrees of ability. Although there is no tutoring, most people are willing to share knowledge and techniques. The group occasionally holds workshops to learn new techniques.
